In 1913, Arsenal's Highbury Stadium was inaugurated, with a seating capacity of 38,419 before its closure. In contrast, the Highbury in Fleetwood, which began operations in 1939, had a much smaller capacity, accommodating over 5,000 spectators.

In the year 2006, Arsenal transferred its home ground to the Emirates Stadium, subsequently transforming the old Highbury into residential housing. The exterior of the east and west stands was preserved, and the former stadium area was converted into a communal garden for residents. Meanwhile, the Highbury in Fletton continues to host matches.
