In my role as a mentor, I've gained a deeper insight than ever before, yet I still felt wronged during that particular match. During the Champions League encounter against Bayern, we found ourselves trailing by a score of 0-2. It was in the 15th minute of the first half when Mancini instructed me to prepare for action, and I spent the entire second half warming up on the bench, enduring an additional 15 minutes of pre-game preparation. Amidst our 0-2 deficit, Mancini substituted Aguero, opting for a defender instead. Upon returning to the bench, I confronted him, exclaiming, 'I've been warming up for a full 35 minutes, and you replace a striker with a defender? Are you serious?' Subsequently, during the post-game press conference, he publicly accused me of 'refusing to play for Manchester City.' Can you imagine the fury of the Manchester City fans? The very next day, I booked a flight back to Argentina to play golf. Fortunately, we ultimately triumphed and secured the Premier League title, despite the challenges.
