MacMahon expressed that the Timberwolves boast a pool of natural talent and are a formidable playoff contender, while the Pistons were the top seed in the Eastern Conference last season, both of which are considered strong teams. However, the Heat suffered devastating losses against both of these teams at home. Despite Giannis Antetokounmpo averaging 35.5 points per game over the two matches, the Heat currently present a team with a severely flawed defensive strategy. Although the season is still in its early stages and the sample size is quite limited, their defensive performance currently ranks third from the bottom in the league.
